JSJBF International Blues Challenge ~ Finalist Bands Selected!

Three very full nights of music in October as the JSJBF culminated on the 23rd, with our selection the blues band that will represent us at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Congrats to all who participated, musicians and audience and staff alike!

After the Finals:
Saturday, October 23rd , 2010

What a night! Fantastic music. Great Crowd.

Congratulations to our winners who are headed to Memphis: Kimon and the Prophets in the band competition and Norman Taylor in the solo/duo.

My thanks to all of the bands that gave of their time to compete once again in the Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation's local competition. Hope you will continue your association with us in the future.

And of course thanks to all of the volunteers who work with me to make this a successful event. Our President Eddy Cooper, my committee Jerry Cafone, Pat Arochas and Mel Lowe. Our front door people, Doris and Dennis and Tom B. Our sound guys John Rathman, Steve Pez, and James Drumm. Big Al our one-man security staff( who needs more with him around!). and stage-hand Fred Reilly (and others I've probably left out).

And special thanks to our judges:

7:00 pm ~ $10 for the semis

Finals: Saturday, October 23rd 2010
7:30 pm ~ $15 for the finals
