A very full day/night of music in September as the JSJBF culminated on the 25th , with our selection the blues band that will represent us at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Congrats to all who participated, musicians and audience and staff alike!

 

After the Finals:
Saturday, September 19th , 2011

What a night! Fantastic music. Great Crowd.

Well...despite getting things started 2 months late and holding the competition a month early, there was a lot of great music. I would have liked to have seen a much larger crowd, but all of the acts threw it all out there and gave everyone a dynamite day of blues music. Congratulations to our winning band representative Mikey Jr. and the Stone Cold Blues Band and our repeat solo representative, Norman Taylor. I'd like to thank the group that worked hard to help me pull this off today: Board members Eddy Cooper, Tom Baldino, Wayne Bell, Pat Arochas and Joe Hughes. The other Board members who came out: Nicky Coppola and Fred Reilly. And the volunteers Eddy got whose names and email addresses I don't have , so Eddy give them my thanks( Bob, and a BIG THANK YOU to Cook Smith & Little Mikey for doing the sound at the last minute).

And special thanks to our judges:
  Matt O'Ree, Chuck Lambert, and Lou Acevedo.

Time to get some sleep!

Semi-Finals: Saturdays, October 2nd & 9th  2010
7:00 pm ~ $10 for the semis

Finals: Saturday, October 23rd 2010
7:30 pm ~ $15 for the finals
