Nanette De Laune Quartet!Wed., 15 July 2009, 8:00 - 11:00Change of venue!!! 3 Broad Street, Red Bank, NJ 07701 ~ MAP Open-mic jam to follow. |
Thanks to Blue Rain for a tremendous time last month!
The Nanette De Laune Quartet is an elegant ensemble renowed for their excellence in the intimate "super club jazz" style that was popularized during the early 1940's and 50's. Nanette's love of the American Standard songbook has set her apart as a singer of distinction with peer respect. Her greatest strength lies in her innate ability to connect with her material and communicate that intimacy with the listener. Nanette was born in New York and has recorded as a session singer or signed artist for Atlantic, Polydor, Sceptor and RCA Record labels in New York and Nashville.Of course, it helps that Nanette is solidly assompanied by three like-minded musicians. Jim De Salvo on piano, Brian Connell on double Bass, and John P. Allen on drums.
