Andy B's musical resume is long and varied…here's the short-form…

Wikipedia's entry on the New Brunswick, NJ music scene finds me listed as one of the: "local luminaries…who has been fronting bands since the late '70s." I began writing original tunes at that point, specifically for The Treatment (which included VooDUDE Gary Ambrosy) as well as performing with a keyboard-drum machine duo. Fear Of Little Men and a proto-Commitments soul band, The Hub City Allstars (with Long Gone Daddies Marco Dolce). More far ranging and original was The Homeboys, a group that I fronted (also including Marco Dolce). From the mid to late '80s we had a short-lived publishing deal while enjoying a long-term residency at Kennys Castaways on Bleeker Street in NYC.

In 1990 I was recruited to play percussion for a recording of the New Orleans-style tune, "Fatty Brown Must Die". That session lead to the formation of The VooDUDES. Since then, I've been the main face and voice of the band, touring and recording (six cds) with the group.

In addition, I've lent my voice and/or percussion skills to recordings by the Zyde-Blues Revue, Scarlett, and Slaves Of New Brunswick as well as three childrens' collections: Sing Me A Day, Nuggets In The Sky, and One Little Smile. I have appeared live with Slaves Of New Brunswick, the Zyde-Blues Revue, and as a singer and percussionist with the Tex-Mex band Gringo Star. Since 2008 I've worked with The Long Gone Daddies. Winter 2013 will find him supporting Blues Leaf recording artist Juke Joint Johnny as percussionist with Juke Joint's Jugband.
