It's been awhile since a band's come along that seems to really enjoy playing. When was the last time you saw a band having as much fun playing as the people watching them play? Just such a band is Shadetree Mechanics. Named after an old ZZ Hill tune, these guys smoke!! Powered by the guitar of Mark Redman, blues harp attack of Palooch, tenor sax of BigWillie and dynamic rhythm section of Elmo John on bass, Ray G on drums and the vocal gymnastics of Mike the Reverend, this blues/rock band puts the fun back in live entertainment. Playing a mix of standard and contemporary blues covers as well as some interesting original songs (i.e., The More I Drink, The Better You Look and Wash My Blues...). Shadetree Mechanics has been stirring up the music scene and making a name for themselves in the New York metropolitan area playing such venues as B.B. King's Blues Club, NYC, Manny's Car Wash, Tribeca Blues, The Victory Cafe, Chicago Blues, the South Street Seaport, Q104.3 Coors Light Paddlewheel Cruise, Blues 2000,2001 and 2002 Blues Alley (Danbury, CT), Jasons Jazz Club (Belmar, NJ) and the Stanhope House (Stanhope, NJ).
