The Thom Palmer Band is always looking to fill your soul with all the elements of great blues music. Mixing it up with New Orleans Jazz, Memphis Soul, a bevy of Funk, and a few parts Rock n’ Roll are just a few of the ingredients that make this band one of the Lehigh Valley's most unique experiences. Formerly Thom Palmer and All Points Bulletin, TPB has gone through some changes since first forming in 1993. Always searching for the perfect blend of musicians, the latest and final line-up will prove to be the quintessential factor to ease your blues-hungry spirit. TPB has been lucky enough to share the stage with such greats as Michael Burkes, Rhett Tyler, Scarlet Moore, Murali Coryell, Leah Gilmore, Slam Allen and Roxy Perry. They were the opening act for the Cementon Blues Festival 2000-2001. The band has also been nominated for Best Drummer (Allen), Best Blues Guitarist (Thom), and Best Blues Band in the Lehigh Valley Music Awards for 2002 and 2003, and performed at the 2003 show. Whatever the venue, be it a small Roadhouse, hosting a Blues jam, a festival, a private party or headlining a concert, TPB is "Right as Rain". TPB are also the winners of the regional 2003 International Blues Challenge. They headed to Memphis, TN in January 2004, and with their unique style, placed in the semi-final round, and had a blast playing at BB King's Blues Club twice that weekend. Separately, the boys' backgrounds range from Jazz, Polka, and Church choirs to Hard Rock, Swing, and Country, but together they have the same goal; when it comes to the Blues, they want to give it to ya good and leave ya moanin’ and groanin’ for more. Their performances include tunes influenced by Delbert McClinton and Van Morrison, Tommy Castro and Popa Chubby, Gladys Knight and Bill Withers, old favorites from B.B. King and Luther Allison, and they fill them out with original songs that are sure to get your body shaking. To see TPB is always a treat 'cuz you never know what they're gonna slap you with.
