The Cobra Brothers is a band that performs a wide scope of music which includes Blues, Funk, R&B, Jazz, Rock and Country. The current line up consists of four well-seasoned musicians who all have over twenty years experience performing and recording across the U. S. and Canada. Highlights of The Cobra Brothers 2010 performances include The Barron Arts Center which yielded a live DVD , headlining the 8th annual Tuckerton Blues festival , Keyportfest and Morristown first Night .The Cobra Brothers’ 2009 performances included Red Bank Jazz & Blues Festival, headlining The Red Wine and Blues Festival, The Keyport Summer Concert Series and The Watchung performing Arts Center. In 2008, The Cobra Bros. headlined the 6th annual Tuckerton Red Wine and Blues Festival and performed at the Sweet Sounds of Jazz at Westfield The Cobra Bros. are members of The New York Blues and Jazz Society ,The Diamond State Blues Society, The New Jersey Jazz Society, The Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Society and were finalists in the 2009 JSJBF-sponsored division of The International Blues Challenges and were semifinalists 2006-2008 They are in the Process of recording an album to be released in the Spring of 2011.

Danny Blues Dog® Perini: (guitar and vocals) grew up in Hempstead, Long Island where he started playing the guitar at age 11 then began playing New York bars at 16, touring the US and Canada. He settled in Los Angeles where he became a studio and touring musician for Unique Records and Omicron Productions. During this time Blues Dog was recorded on record, film and TV and met and performed with blues greats Big Joe Turner, Smokey Wilson and Pee Wee Crayton. He moved back to the New York area in 1986 and was voted New York's Best Guitarist in 1989 and 1991. Blues Dog was also nominated Best New Band in 1990 (Good Times Readers Poll) and has been featured in Guitar Player and Guitar World magazines, just to name a few. He was a District Finalist in The King of the Blues national competion in 2006 and 2009. "Straight up, rockin',or on the country/swing side, Blues Dog glides along, acutely aware of when to tease, when to please, and when to breath. He is indeed a voodoo child." (Guitar World)

David Mason: (Harmonica and Vocals) grew up in upstate New York and his earliest musical influences were folk, rockabilly and rock and roll. Throughout the seventies he played country and folk music with many local artists of the Midwest including Jeff Black. Then during the eighties Dave became a devoted Blues fan and was influenced by Little Walter, Big Walter, Charlie Musslewhite and Paul Butterfield. He has appeared on stage with Chick Willis, Lou Rawls and Clarence Gatemouth Brown. David has resided in Freehold NJ for the last 13 years performed in the tri-state area with Bob White and the White Boys and many other local musicians.

Paul Yenaff: (bass, keyboards and vocals) grew up in Monmouth County N.J. and his earliest exposure to music was through his brother and uncle. Paul’s rhythmic melodic style is influenced by Willie Dixon, James Jamerson, Paul McCartney, Jack Bruce and John Entwistle as well as private vocal, bass and piano studies. Paul really took an interest in blues by tracing its roots through bands like Led Zeppelin, Cream, and The Stones, which led him to his personal favorites: Willie Dixon, Muddy Waters and B.B King. Over the last twenty-five years Paul has performed, written and recorded music throughout the tri-state area with The Soul Searchers, The Cobra Bros, The Garden Insane, Rägnorok and numerous fill-ins.

Matthew Teitelman: (drums) grew up in Oak Park, IL. He began play the drums at age 9 after begging his parents for a drum set. With a sister as a singer and a guitarist for a father, music was always an essential part of Matt’s childhood. In high school, he began studying drums with renowned percussion educator Don Skoog. Matt has since studied with jazz greats Victor Lewis and Bill Goodwin while completing his Bachelor’s in Music at Rutgers University. Matt’s influences include Roy Hanes, Elvin Jones, Chad Smith, and Stanton Moore. Matt also is a member of Rosewood Ghosts and his own jazz combo. He has performed throughout the Northeast including such venues as the Bitter End and the Lizard Lounge.
