One of the most distinctive and majestic landmarks along the New Jersey shore, Asbury Park Convention Hall/Paramount Theatre is a multi purpose venue. The three-fold complex, on the oceanfront, includes Convention Hall and the Paramount Theatre. Convention Hall, located on the boardwalk and extending out over the water, has a capacity up to 3,600 depending upon the event. It features an impressive stage area and a spacious arena floor.

The historic Paramount Theatre is a showcase for music and performing arts. The seating capacity of this fine, acoustically superior facility is approximately 1,600 persons. The Paramount has aptly been described as simultaneously majestic and intimate.

Connecting the two buildings is a grad arcade, through which the famous Asbury Park boardwalk extends. Warren and Wetmore designed the architectural landmark in 1923. They were also the designers of New York City Grand Central Station. The buildings are included on the state and national register of historic places.

The Paramount opened in spectacular fashion on July 11,1930 with a show staring the Marx Brothers and Ginger Rogers. Convention Hall has continued over the years to host world famous entertainment. The prestigious list includes Frank Sinatra, Elton John, The Supremes, Paul Anka, Rolling Stones, Temptations, Glen Miller, Duke Ellington, Bruce Springsteen, Creed, Stevie Wonder, The Platters, Bon Jovi, and the Garden State Film Festival.

The Convention Hall/Paramount Theatre will carry on our tradition of fine music and entertainment exhibits, and sporting event activities. We invite all to “Come and Make History Again” at the legendary Asbury Park Convention Hall/Paramount Theatre.
